How to apply for funding

Application Criteria

  • Inter-Insular events and competitions that require entry through a qualification process will be prioritised. Trips and competitions entered voluntarily will only be only be supported if funds remain.
  • All applications must be for a schools event involving school aged children, accompanied by teaching staff or agreed alternatives.
  • Applications will only be accepted on the grant application form below.
  • Please ensure each event is submitted on a separate application form. If your application includes more than 1 trip it will be rejected.
  • All applications need to be submitted by published deadlines. Any applications received after this date will be considered on a case by case basis by the committee at their next monthly meeting.
  • Approval will be reviewed by the committee on a case by case basis and you will be contacted by email – please ensure that up to date contact details are added to the application form.
  • We will no longer accept any invoices for training/pitch costs/venue cost these must be covered within the formal grant application form.
  • A maximum of 6 training sessions will be covered prior to each event/trip.
  • Where possible school premises should be used for training/events.
  • As part of the approval of the funding you will be asked to complete a post trip evaluation form. Any surplus funds to that trip must be advised on the evaluation form for the committee’s review.
  • Funding will be provided to cover 50% of trip costs (travel, accommodation & entry fees) if off island. If the event is being hosted in Guernsey the Guernsey School Sports Federation would look to cover all reasonable costs.
